Dear Coach Phillips,

You were the toughest coach I ever had. And you are the coach who had the biggest impact on me. I appreciate your focus on teaching the fundamentals of baseball and the fundamentals of life.

You taught me to practice like we play, to stay focused, to encourage my teammates, to be on time, to win with confidence, and to lose as a gentleman.

You had a huge impact on my baseball career and an even bigger impact on my life.

You are my Hero!
