Dear Coach Courtenay,

I want to thank you for all you have done for me and for being an amazing coach! You have truly made a difference in my gymnastics career and I could not imagine loving the sport as much as I did and do without your support. You have a special way of connecting with athletes– It has always meant a lot to me that I can tell you are in it for the athlete to succeed and not for personal motives. I know I speak for many other gymnasts when I say that I value the time I had with you as my coach and miss you so so much! Thank you for believing in me, especially when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you for helping me work towards my goals and for being there every step of the way, the good days and the bad days. I wouldn’t trade my time with you as my coach for anything and will always look back on those years with happy memories, laughs, smiles, and great memories of teamwork! Here’s to one of the best coaches I’ve ever had and one who has forever made a difference in my life!

You are my Hero!

Sincerely, one of your former gymnasts
